Sunnyvale, CA, September 18, 2009 - Integral Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: ISYS) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SAT Corporation has been chosen by APT Satellite Company Limited (APT), a wholly-owned subsidiary of APT Satellite Holdings Limited (APT Group) to provide the Monics® satellite monitoring and interference detection system.
Monics is a state-of-the-art system that automatically monitors the APT carriers and utilizes SAT Corporation's Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology. Monics' technology will detect interference and unauthorized user's of APT's system payloads much faster than a classic spectrum analyzer. The system uses unique algorithms to automatically detect, characterize, and display interfering signals, and allows results to be viewed at any time. With its ability to detect CW, BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK, 8PSK, 8APSK, 16QAM, 32APSK, and now 8QAM and 64QAM modulation types, Monics is the first worldwide system able to provide these services.
"APT like other commercial operators are increasingly turning to SAT Corp for solutions that can help them meet their carrier monitoring requirements," said Bob Potter, president of SAT Corporation. "Built on our deep technical expertise and supported by a customer-centric development focus, we are able to produce solutions that support the unique needs of commercial operators and have a meaningful impact on their operational efficiency as well."
